I'm new to assembling my own pc and adjusting the BIOS. Can anyone help me figure out what I need to do to boost the transfer rate to 6 gb/s? Here's a comprehensive list of my current setup:
Motherboard: ASUS P7P55D-E LX
Processor: Intel i5-760
Hard Drive: Intel Solid State 40gb
Disc Drive: HP dvd1040
PSU: Corsair CMPSU-750TX
RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance (2 X 4GB)
OS: Windows OEM 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
Any other tips to boost my performance would be greatly appreciated as the focus for my pc is for audio/video editing.

The left two ( upper and lower ) SATA channels labeled SATA_6G_1 and SATA_6G_2 are the 6GB channels. However, depending on the model number SSD, two different Intel SSD's listed this: Interface: Compatible with SATA 1.5 Gb/s and 3 Gb/s
So, check the specs on the SSD.
