Audio problems with Intel WX58BP Workstation motherboard

Hi
I have a Intel i7 950 processor with a Intel WX58BP Workstation motherboard , 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and NVIDIA 9500 GT 1 GB graphic card . Everything is running smoothly , except I have no audio . When I am checking under the " Device Manager " I am getting the message "No audio devices found " . I have already installed the latest Realtek audio drivers .Please help

And tell more about drivers. Windows, almost all versions has us install a chipset driver package before the audio driver. Sorry if you knew that but I can't tell from your post.

Hi ,
I had installed Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit ). Then I installed the Chipset driver , audio ( Realtek ) driver and the Ethernet LAN drivers . After that the NVIDIA 9500 GT drivers . Everything is working including the LAN , but Windows cannot detect the audio device . I even downloaded the latest Realtek driver from the Intel website . No solution .

I then tired the same procedure with Windows XP Pro SP2 ( 32 bit ) after formatting the HDD . No results . Intel website has a trouble shooting procedure wherein , they suggest to go into BIOS , disable the audio , install Windows , install all the drivers EXCEPT the audio drivers , then enable the audio from the BIOS , then install the audio drivers and restart the windows . Did that , same problem as earlier .

Sounds defective. Arrange for exchange.

Hi Bob ,

I agree with you . I took the PC to my distributer . He tested it and confirmed that the Intel WX58BP motherboard is faulty . I am sending it in for replacement under warranty . Thanks for your time and efforts happy
