Samsung UN55C7000 and Denon AVR 2310CI No Audio from Interne

Problem: I have my Samsung UN55C7000 3D LED TV hooked up to my Denon AVR 2310CI. When I switch to the Internet@TV to play Netflix, Vudu, YouTube, etc... No audio is coming from the receiver. I have the TV set for Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) which should allow the audio to be sent from the TV to the receiver. When I switch to one of these services, the TV automatically sets the receiver to TV/Stereo. Nothing is muted.

All other inputs, DVR, DVD, and PC, play through the Denon Receiver and it shows on the front panel that a signal is coming from them. When the TV switches the receiver to the TV source, the Denon Receiver does not detect a signal.

The strange part about it, is that it was working fine last week. No firmware change to either device. However, the Internet@TV updated the Netflix app just before I lost sound. I'm wondering if this could be the cause. I would be strange that one app would cause the audio to stop working.

Anyone run into this problem?

trongod05,

HDMI-CEC is Consumer Electronics Control, and offers communication of commands between devices, but not transfer of audio. I'm surprised it worked before, since I don't believe that to be the design, or at the very least, common.

An optical audio cable or an analog cable from the TV to the receiver would serve the purposes of sending the audio to the receiver.

I had the exact same problem. When I am watching Cable TV I have the Denon remote set to SAT/CBL but when watching youtube via the internet on my TV I have to set the Denon remote to TV. I have all HDMI connections with the exception of an Optical connection from the Denon AVR791 to the TV. I hope this works for you.
